Top Five Concert Tours of 2023 (and where to get tickets)

For anyone experiencing Eras withdrawals.

We still can’t figure out who on Earth reads Triumph after Hours, but—people keep clicking—so we’ll keep writing.

Ah , 2023 is finally here. With the pandemic (thankfully) in the review mirror, venues across the country are flinging open their doors and ushering concert season back into full-swing. We all know what that means.

That’s right, another Taylor Swift tour that almost everyone wants to see and almost no one can afford (woohoo!).  We kid—kind of—but getting tickets to the Eras Tour was like playing a tough round of pop-country roulette (and our entire team lost).

But, if just like the rest of us, you weren’t quite able to secure the Midnights bag, fear not. Other artists will also be touring in 2023. We’re not claiming the shows will be equally as good, but they’re something. Plus let’s face it, we weren’t landing those tickets in our Wildest Dreams. And You Belong with “Us,” anyway. If you go to one of these other shows, it’ll be The Best Day (should we stop?). We promise—Forever & Always (alright yeah, we need to stop).

Now that our small episode is over, back to our list.

#5: Ed Sheeran

Everyone’s favorite ginger is back with some more math.

We have no earthly idea what to do with the name of this tour—and that’s just fine with us. All we care about is Castle on the Hill getting played at least once. It’s really all we ask.

Much in the same vein as Swift, Sir Ed can be a tough ticket to snag. Seeing as the self-proclaimed “Ginger Geezer” is a worldwide phenomenon at this point, tickets to his shows fall a little on the pricier side. Not break the bank pricey, but also not your usual Tuesday matinee.

Thankfully, Ed almost exclusively plays some of the largest stadiums in the world, so odds are that—as of publication—you still have time to lock-in your spot at the show before they sell out.

Just make sure to bring your calculator.

#4: AJR

Small, mighty, and pretty well located.

Sadly, the uniquely talented brothers of AJR are only debuting their new singles at three music concerts this year, but chances are—so long as you don’t live in the Pacific Northwest—one of those three isn’t too far away from you. If you do live in the Pacific Northwest, sorry. But hey—you’re National Parks are sublime.

Masters of the beat machine and arguably the best live performers on this list, AJR in-concert is always a strong investment. Bring a fun hat to the show, they just might ask to where it on stage. No, seriously. That’s a thing they do. Look it up.

#3 Morgan Wallen

Might want to check your prescription on those Whiskey Glasses.

So, you want tickets to the new Morgan Wallen tour? Congrats, so does everyone else—and most of their mothers. Thankfully, there’s still a few tickets remaining for all of the U.S. shows—and even the one in New Zealand. Yup, you read that right. Morgan Wallen in New Zealand. We’re just as confused as you are, but we still love it.

If you are yourself a Kiwi, or reside in either the United States or Canada, odds are there’s a Morgan Wallen show coming to a city near you. In fact, he’s likely coming to a few cities near you.

#2: Noah Kahan

He’s not mean. He just grew up in New England.

Kahn’s Stick Season album was a smash hit of 2022, but the artist’s ascendency hasn’t quite translated into ticket sales—yet. While still popular, tickets for the upcoming tour are reasonably priced and still available for most major cities around the U.S. (at least until we publicized it on the Triumph website. Now anything is fair game).

Before it’s too late, grab a friend and a flannel and go embrace all the beauty of Vermont pop-grunge. Also, might not be a bad idea to bring some Orange Juice to the show. Maybe even some Strawberry Wine (alright, once again, we’ll stop).

#1: Taylor Swift

As if there was ever any doubt.

There’s a reason Swift was awarded Artist of the Decade by the musical powers that be. The mind behind more platinum albums than we have room to list is operating on another planet when it comes to touring. Three shows a weekend in the city’s largest stadium, and she’s still selling out all three shows—sometimes within minutes.

At this point you essentially have to either have impeccable timing, an inside connection, or sell your soul to get your hands on a live Swift ticket. If you managed to pull of the first two this cycle, well played. We’re kind of jealous but also super happy for you. If you went with the third option—yikes. But enjoy the show, we guess.

Welp. That's all we got. Thanks for stopping by. Oh, and maybe think about Supporting the Team or Visiting the Shop? Could be fun.
